In this letter to the Thessalonian church, Paul is relieved and encouraged by the report from Timothy that this church has kept the faith. Paul has a new challenge for them now, that they not only increase their love for one another, but also they love ALL – as in even the Jews who have persecuted them in the past, who had run Paul out of town.
Why this exhortation by Paul? So that God may establish hearts worthy to be saved where love contributes to spiritual maturity and readiness for judgement on the Last Day.
