"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" Matthew 28:19-20
Baptism is a beautiful gift from God. It is a sacred moment where He claims us as His own. In baptism, God places His name on us, forgives our sins, and welcomes us into His family.
But baptism is not just a one-time event. It is the beginning of a lifelong journey with Jesus.
If you are interested in being baptized or having your child baptized, we would love to walk alongside you. Simply fill out our Baptism Interest Form, and one of our pastors will contact you to talk more about what baptism means and what it looks like at Trinity.
Baptism at Every Age
At Trinity, we joyfully baptize people of all ages: infants, children, youth, and adults. While the experience may look a little different depending on age, the heart of baptism remains the same. God is at work, claiming us as His own and giving the gift of new life in Jesus.
Infant Baptism
Baptism for infants is a gift of grace. God welcomes even the youngest into His family. Parents meet with one of our pastors to talk through what baptism means and the lifelong journey it begins. During the baptism, parents and sponsors (godparents) are asked to commit to:
- Praying for the child
- Reminding the child of God’s promises in baptism
- Helping the child grow in faith by staying connected to worship and living out their own faith
Sponsors are also asked to support the parents and help them stay faithful to these commitments.
Child and Youth Baptism
For children and youth who were not baptized as infants, the process includes both the child and their parents. We meet with the family to talk about baptism, and also spend time helping the child understand what it means and how it fits into their faith story.
Adult Baptism
Adults who desire baptism meet with one of our pastors to talk about what baptism means and how it fits into their journey of faith. For many, baptism is not the start of the journey, but it is an important next step of receiving God's promises and being welcomed into His family.
